Motor Design - 
It has been said that motor design is a well-plowed field and no new innovations are likely to be made in that area. Nothing could be further from the truth! New ferromagnetic and magnetic materials are being developed, new cooling techniques are being introduced, and innovative thinking is continuously occurring all of which make for improved performance and reduced costs.
Our engineers have designed exclusively brushless motors. These types include: brushless permanent magnet machines, induction machines, and switched reluctance machines. The sizes have ranged from 10 W up to 75 MW, with speeds up to 13,000 rpm. The applications ranged from magnetically-levitated trains (Maglev) to high volume commercial games.
